Sharing leak is sexual abuse wtf? That s just theft content , not cool for the performer but some overmonetize their work so I see why you would want to share a 100$ video in return for other pricy content.

It’s not piracy, it’s unauthorised copying. No boats and murder here.

I mean, why wouldn’t sharing sexual pictures and videos outside of the given consent by the performer be sexual abuse? If you perform in a porn video for a porn company and sign all documents, it is clear that you know and agree that the video will be sold publicly. If you send a nude to someone in private, you totally are not agreeing to be posted on the internet. OnlyFans is kind of in between - if you post something there for your subscribers, the consent is that the subscribers see the content after paying for it.

Suddenly, explicit photos and videos of her were being spread and resold like wildfire alongside abusive material: upskirting videos and photos of sleeping, naked women.

I think you deliberately skipped this part of the article.

Though they seem secure behind a paywall, swiping content creators’ explicit photos and videos from subscription-based platforms such as OnlyFans, Patreon, and Fansly is relatively easy. People can download third-party apps for the task, and if those don’t work, a few basic coding tutorials can teach them how to surpass anti-theft technology. These images and videos then proliferate across the internet, on niche forums, Reddit threads, Discord servers, and Telegram groups with tens of thousands of participants. Today, a growing legal consensus considers this activity to be sexual abuse.

I think you deliberately skipped this part.

    Two things here:

    1. yes, it’s not good when vulnerable people get less income from their, eh, already kinda desperate work.

    2. no, it’s not sexual abuse.

Can’t say I agree, but it’s an interesting perspective for sure. Although, given the problem literally cannot be solved by tightening the DRM and whatnot, why don’t we fight the stigmatization instead? As in, people usually dgaf if they learn their friend is an accountant or paints 40k miniatures in their spare time.

This what troubles me about hearing revenge porn stories.

Pictures of you being naked are being used to hurt your reputation?

I’m not sure how to say it but something like, the people who thinks you did something wrong, are scum.

Yes, criminalize thought, you think showing my butt impacts how qualified I am at servicing your aircraft? Then you should go to prison.
