Blahaj doesn’t promote dangerous political rhetoric, hold authoritarian regimes to a gold standard or enforce a specific narrative through moderation.

I still hope people will, but inertia is still something, even on Lemmy. Most of the people don’t care. !privacy@lemmy.ml and !linux@lemmy.ml are still the main communities on those topics. It’s okay. Maybe things will change over time. There’s no rush.
In the meantime, it’s better to build something rather then spend time spouting on them.
It should be a multi-pronged approach, build alternate comms off the Tankie Triad while also showing opposition for new users to hopefully see that no, this is not a safe haven for tankies
But here’s the thing: constantly posting memes about “the tankie triad” paints you in a bad light, the light of the harasser.
People don’t care about that. To get them to switch to another community, you have to offer a better community. No amount of meme is going to help with that.

Christ, I’m gonna stop reading now. I will say, the liberal use of the term fascist and the readiness with which my fellow left leaning folks label anyone who doesn’t agree with them a fascist is, to be entirely honest, outright dangerous.
People pass the term out like the right uses “woke”, only difference is fascist is actually a really fucking important term for discussing the dysfunction of the world we live in right now.
Not everyone who disagrees with you is a fascist. You’re entitled to thinking whoever you want is wrong, you don’t have to compare them to people who systematically murdered every minority they could find until the death toll was in the millions to substantiate your dislike.

I don’t have any, and it’ll be probably be hard to find any which isn’t some fascist transphobe trying to use it to fuel LGBTQ hate. The main controversty was over whether having a mental illness ‘counts’ as having a queer identity. This Fandom page is the best I could find from a quick search.
