Tesseract had a lot of cool improvements that I really hope other devs would copy. A lot of the improvements are things that I personally suggested, like registration application reply templates etc

Nope, it’s a client for lemmy specifically, like photon/Voyager/etc
oh wow, the UI was so different I genuinely mistook it for a completely different app. Very pretty indeed, but I like my basic boring functional UIs – gimme lists and no distractions and I will worship you
