    After the inverse defense of Russia from Ukraine aggression (the kind of defense where you invade another country that is aggressing you by opposing your invasion), Putin now issues an inverse declaration of war (the kind of declaration of war where you declare someone else is at war with you). What a total buffoon.

      After the unsolicited inverse aggression of Poland and Romania placing their airspace in the path of a Russian drone strike on Ukraine, this is the logical next step.

    As declarations of war go it’s not much, but it’s more then Ukraine got when they occupied Crimea.

    What’s the point of doing this? Surely they don’t really want NATO to join in? Are they just saying it to justify all their losses and that their economy is failing?

      It’s propaganda aimed at a domestic audience to explain the hardships resulting from the war, and at Putin bootlickers abroad to prop up the innocent victim narrative.
