I remember hearing that food engineering was going to solve the planet’s hunger problem. People are still starving, and the rich are becoming richer. Now I’m hearing about “water treatment technology”. Really? Rivers and lakes are drying up. There are unprecedented forest fires, floods, tornadoes, etc. Drinkable water will be more expensive?? WTF? What’s next?? We’re going to have to pay for breathable air?

So, if you want to get snipped, does the doctor ask , “does your significant other agree with what you’re doing? Maybe they should be here during this decision”. Does that sound ridiculous?? Well, that’s what women deal with on a regular basis.

Not sure where you’re from. If a woman wants to sterilize in the U.S. it’s a HUGE problem: If you’re married they want the husband to verify your decision. If you’re a young woman, they’ll deny because “you may change your mind”. BUT, a man can get snipped no questions asked.

It’s global. Who the fuck wants to procreate in a world that’s about run out of water??

Seriously. If you are a woman, do you want to bring a child into this world?? Our climate is a disaster, and anyone who “could” do anything about it is doing everything they can to accumulate wealth at the expense of the planet. Fascism and misinformation is rampant. Geezus, people are telling Mothers that inoculations are bad. Think about that… polio vaccines that rescued generations of children from “iron lungs”, leg braces, and death. Those vaccines were developed from science. SCIENCE I’m an old lady now. If I was young and of child bearing years—I would not have children.

“If I may” is a polite way to interject in a conversation. Carney does this, because he understands that’s how it’s done in normal political meetings. This, was not a normal political meeting. This was Trump going on and on and on. About the beautiful White House, and the gold, blah, blah blah.

I know! I caught that too! Carney is awesome.

Don’t underestimate Mark Carney. He was the former Governor of the Bank of England and was a prominent figure in discussions surrounding Brexit, particularly in relation to its economic implications that Brexit could bring to the UK economy. He argued AGAINST Brexit. He was right.

Carney has been dealing with international finances and issues his whole career. He IS talking to Trump like he’s a 5 year old. A 5 year old out of control. Carney’s restraint and diplomacy was exemplary.

And let’s not forget our health care. We may have challenges, but Canadians aren’t losing their homes and/or life savings because of medical emergencies. I dislocated and broke my arm last year from a bad fall. Long wait at emergency, but once x-rays were done and I saw a doctor, surgery was scheduled quickly. Total bill: $0.00

This wasn’t a “meeting”. This was Trump embarrassing himself, as usual. Trump talks about Canada joining the US, saying “tremendous health care”. OK, really? Talking about Carney, right in front of him: “This man coming up through the ranks”. OMG! Look at Mark Carney’s resume you idiot. And, bringing up Wayne Gretzky?

Agreed. It’s called “manners” and “diplomacy”. Something Trump knows nothing about.

If I could go back in time, I would have done everything I could to emigrate to Norway. The more I read about that country, the more I like it.

My children, at the time ages 20 and 22, backpacked around Europe. They stayed at hostels and didn’t have reservations. (Their favourite was Amsterdam. Scotland was a close second!)
