He’s also shit all over Grok

In this case, someone would have to sue or otherwise intervene. But that action is radically unpopular. Nobody wants to be that guy.

I want to hard agree with Apple that people are, in fact, too stupid to choose their own apps, but not following Apple’s greedy logic.
Look at the top apps and sites people use. The tech billionaires. It’s stupid as hell

“I scam people out of money. Give me your money, and I’ll show you how to do it, too.” That is the pitch that made him millions.
God, you always say that.

At least in the US, I’m absolutely destroyed that people just don’t care. They talk like they care, but they just fucking don’t. I don’t get it at all. They will gripe about how evil and bad something is, then just keep using it. “If everyone else is, so will I” maybe. Group Inertia.

Here’s the misleading part:
Tap on one of those “while in use” apps. You’ll see there is no option “allowed all the time.” It doesn’t exist.
“while in use” is top level, and changes to “while using the app” when you actually look at the permission. They really mean when the app is running. And many often run in the background.

on the fly
hehe

As a Lemmy user, I’m betting you do things differently than most people in general.
My friends and teenage children get very obviously targeted ads in the crap they do. I think maybe we are more discrete or something?

Thank you!
There is an implication, though, that they intend to collect as much data as possible regardless of which model they use? And in the article, he isn’t selling any data, I think. Any mention of that?

On this episode of “JD shows up somewhere he isn’t wanted”

An earo
I thought Trump moved on from that when it didn’t stick
