1. They’re always watching. I’m in tech and was taught in my security training - when traveling to countries with extremely strong surveillance, assume you are bugged. Family could be high valued and they wanted something from the parents. Probably a bit too tinfoil hat.

I haven’t used Kindles personally ever, but I helped my neighbor export their kindle collection a few years ago.

It dumped it into mobi files to use with calibre. Then from there, you can convert them into epubs.

I recall it being straightforward. Probably something a kindle owner should do periodically to back up their collection.

I’m going to assume they can photgraph you the moment you walk into the airport.

I used to be extra during the TSA body scan BS. And honestly, I felt like they won.
