Trained dev with a decade of professional experience, humans routinely fail to get me workable specs without hours of back and forth discussion. I’d say a solid 25% of my work week is spent understanding what the stakeholders are asking for and how to contort the requirements to fit into the system.
If these humans can’t be explict enough with me, a living thinking human that understands my architecture better than any LLM, what chance does an LLM have at interpreting them?

I use notesnook but I don’t self host, just the app locally. It has an option to insert a task list into the note, and that has drag and drop reordering. It also encrypts at rest, and has text search. Hope that helps your decision.

That sounds wonderful! I remember trying to juggle two jobs and it was damn near impossible because both demanded full availability for part time work, leading to their late-released schedules conflicting constantly. Eventually one fired me after i came in late from the other. My next role I set very clear boundaries coming in that “main job” would have first dibs, luckily that place was flexible enough to accommodate the shifting schedules.
Kind of a weird thing to press amazon specifically on, any hourly job I’ve had basically gave the next week’s schedule the thursday before… No fancy algorithm needed, just slow managers.
Edit - I’m trying to say this behavior is rampant. Amazon is a good start, now write some laws for everyone else.

I thought Tesla was an AI company first, why would they invest in a competitor? Or are they not, and they need to get their AI from xAI in which case what’s the point of Tesla, again?
Guess the obvious solution would be to combine all verticals into “X, the everything company”?
Not really, at least as long as the constitution is worth the paper it’s written on. But uh considering recent rulings, need to evaluate your own risk tolerance because who knows in future.

Trump team is already walking it back after they started taking preorders and a journalist found the model. They’re now claiming they meant to say it could eventually be made in America. It’s a $170 Chinese phone they’re marking up to $500
I believe the Made in USA Labeling Act passed 2021 would prevent following the Moto X approach of just final assembly, but I suppose it’s up to trump’s FTC to make the final call regardless, easy enough for them to issue an exception.
Specifically:
it is an unfair or deceptive act or practice within the meaning to label any product as Made in the United States unless the final assembly or processing of the product occurs in the United States, all significant processing that goes into the product occurs in the United States, and all or virtually all ingredients or components of the product are made and sourced in the United States.
I run fedora on 8GB and find it functional but definitely not comfortable. Anything past a dozen tabs and it starts getting choked up.
