In fact, that was around the time it stared getting big with the launch of Justin.tv (later Twitch.tv and acquired by Amazon). You forget that the internet at the time wasn’t as centralised as today. So many creators simply had their own website where they could post videos and stream.

PayPal was more popular than it is today among other options at the time (like you know, using your card and making regular ass bank payments). Buying merch to support your favourite creators was common.

They are excellent in my experience. Very easy to work with. Had a bad batch of APs that all died on me but that was almost a decade ago and the replacements were just fine. Used a couple of sample devices I got from Meraki (they gave them out for participating in their seminars) and used them until the 2 year license ran out. Now I’m mostly using Mikrotik with RouterOS at home. Way more advanced but also more fun to mess around with.
