So like a little removed from this but I always wondered why cant we harvest energy from busy buildings where people are closing and opening doors all the time? The doors typically already even have a motor on them to be handicap accessible and need to slow close anyways. If anything it could generate enough electricity for at least a couple lights or office computers

I cant afford a spaceship though :(

Why would 4chan pay the fine? Its not like 4chan will take all that much of a hit because people can tunnel out and still participate in however 4chan monetizes if they really wanted to. Also lmao seize assets. 4chan has no assets in the UK to seize afaik.

You’re deluded if you think the UK is going to get a cent from 4chan. The most they can do is direc their ISPs to block 4chan IPs but that wont stop people from tunneling to the site. Thats all they have the legal jurisdiction to do like it or not

Companies dont even give a shit about cybersecurity with their internal systems why would they dare put a cent into thinking about security for systems their customers use

My biggest issue with shorts as someone whos watched them is they very often leave out a lot of context or very important information. Shorts are just an evolution of clickbait titles or inflammatory headlines in my opinion. Theres some that are really good but the primary nature of shorts means your exposed to all types not just good ones.

Its open source no? I dont imagine the fork would just up and disappear either

LibreWolf? Its just firefox minus the crap?

Planes not used for skydiving rarely actually have parachutes.

I manage teams in a MacOS environment and ive seen teams fail to notify when people get a message or phone call straight up. Ive seen it fail to deliver a message, automatically select audio devices (because it has to use its own selection of audio devices) sharing screens is like watching a slideshow no matter what network you are on, controlling another users computer is even worse. Our headsets are Plantronics “certified for teams” or whatever its called and the mute button sometimes desyncs with the client and the headphones may be muted but the client not or vice verse. Theres much more but im so tired from dealing with teams all day. I also think its just a wildly unintuitive ui, settings are completely strewn across all sections

Sometimes meetings would be on the outlook calendar and not on the teams calendar or vice verse and then theres also shifts which is only viewable through teams and it makes me want to pull my hair out

Its a pain in the fucking ass when managing Macs on an MDM and you want specific icons in the dock. Teams would update and change the name but the profile would point to the now non existent old name and then there would just be a “?” Users would think they no longer have that application on their device even though you could access perfectly fine from launchpad or through the applications alias

Call it Y

Thats why we can just go down the street and buy fully functioning tanks and machine guns! /s

The restaurant seems to think so if it just plays an automated message to book a reservation online

How about just a website? Fuck single company apps

Whats the best replacement for Excel? LibreCalc is ok but it lags really far behind Excel in intermediate features. My close friend in analytics switched back to Excel recently because he got so tired of dealing with LibreCalc.
Also do you know if the Affinity suite works well in Wine? Ive messed with a lot of software paid and libre for its purposes but just vibe with Affinity best
Im not asking to sound rude im asking because im genuinely looking down the barrel of this OS change and I do a lot of computer based hobbies and work that are going to be uprooted by this
Why not just ship it without any of the AI stuff and give users the option to install and use it instead of bloating the application? This also confirms that the stuff is essentially OPT OUT instead of OPT IN
