Les Contraception Dangereux

pulled himself out of office Wednesday

There are already a handful of good digital nomad (and other) visa options that are really tempting.
I haven’t done a TON of research here, just watched a lot of youtube videos discussing the process, daydreaming of placing some distance between myself and Trump. There are a handful of countries across Europe I’d jump at the chance to move to if there were reasonable odds to get permanent residence or citizenship.

pardonnez-moi, puis-je vous intéresser à un programmeur?

Having been a firefox user for a few years now, Screw Mozilla. What a mismanaged shit-show they’ve become.
I get that browser development costs a ton, and that they’re in a shitty position. But to make this ode to stockholm syndrome blog post… what on EARTH?
Best case, Chrome gets split off into a separate organization free of meddling and they can fund themselves with reasonable donations / investments. In reality, I’m sure Google and other advertising companies will try to get into it and buy the behavior they want, like special-interest groups in US politics.
But if Chrome ended up under any organization with reasonable management who wasn’t completely beholden to advertisers, I’d switch back to Chrome pretty quickly (assuming the whole Manifest V2/V3 thing got un-fucked).

Or the world blows up and it’s all over. I guess what I’m saying is, no downside, fire it up and let’s see what happens.

Oh no, not titties!

dumbest fucking timeline. A subscription for a feature that requires no infrastructure and is part of the physical thing you just paid $40k for.
I just bought some UniFi gear for the first time. Cloud gateway fiber, u7 pro xgs and u7 long range.
Really like the dashboard, configuration, vlan.
Really dislike the WiFi APs, they’re AWFUL on range/speed. Updated, tweaked settings, Ethernet backhaul… I had better and more reliable coverage with a single ASUS router (but the asus firmware was terrible). A synology mesh worked pretty reliably too but no >2.5gbps wan port.
I also wish their DNS was more full featured. I haven’t dug into this much, maybe it is something I can do by SSHing into router, been too busy trying to get the WiFi improved.
Not annoyed enough to return the gear but really disappointed with WiFi performance.
