Oh my gawd it’s best thing. Hospital was insane but very interesting and by the time I got home I was feeling pretty awesome… my boss told me to not think about work and that he set me up for a leave of absence I still get paid for with HR. I’m treasuring every day.
Oh dear… I was in hospital a few weeks ago and I’ve been recovering at home. In the last two weeks I’ve manly played three games: 64 hours in the first, 50 hours in the second, and 10 hours in the third (that one was all in one day)

Supporting giant evil DOES sometimes get you free stuff… I know folks who have accidentally been shipped multiple of what they’re ordering (in two cases, the items were quite expensive) and when they’ve brought it up, they were told to keep the extras.

BTC is neat and I do have some, but I didn’t get into LLMs, no use case for me at this point. But I think VR is in a completely different bucket. VR was so fucking awesome for my partner and myself to chill out in with our friends in 2020 when we couldn’t go out and see peeps. It’s also easily the best most fun form of exercise.

I was so scared to get it set up… it was my first Linux experience other than an Ubuntu box in 2007 or so. It was soooo much easier than I expected. I have it as my DHCP server tho, so if it goes down, my house has no web. I reeeeeally should update the system and my block lists though…
I need to update my pi-hole but I’m terrified to… I’ve been using it for more than five years and it’s been a hands-off champion; I’m afraid if I updated it’ll get all fucked up and I’ll have to reinstall.
I was never a watcher of any Twitch things until I found Brutalmoose, whose retro/oldschool tendencies and relaxed demeanor made him a very lovely person to put on in the background of my partner and myself working. Otherwise, I know next to nothing of the popular peeps other than they seem to like shouting and being part of drama, both of which are a huge turnoff to me.

Right, absolutely. I use almost no apps for anything, I just use my phone’s browser for the web sites I want, and have a specific few non-privacy-invasive apps for other things (Voyager for here, Signal for messaging, password manager, etc) and have zero reason I would ever want to give up that functionality to do what, make CALLS? I don’t do that shit. Text message? Nah.

Oh I agree with you, but in my experience the people i know have predominately gone AMD as well. When I bought my 9900k, Reddit was HEAVILY downvoting any Intel support and upvoting AMD support. It doesn’t reflect the market, it I do see that in social trends.
…that said, while my 9900k still kicks ass, I am never going Intel again after recent news hahaha
A ball of 90% pure (tested myself) round me is about 200USD. A couple bumps gets me gakked for at least an hour. I could OD easily for about 100USD… that’s like 8GB of DDR4 or some shit hahaha
