It’s insane how shit the US is at managing its cars considering how aggressively they’ve forced them as the only truly viable mode of transport. It sucks horribly to drive in North America but it’s the only option given to people. Like, if you’re gunna do the worst option at least do it right and have some pride in the system.

Once capitalism has regulations to keep it in check and a democratically elected government is in charge and willing to do those things it’s no longer capitalism. Capitalism is putting monied interests first and crossing your fingers that the free hand of the market is anything more than a fairy told to naive idiots to make them support a corrupt-by-design system, such that those monied interests can be said to be chosen “democratically”(vote with your wallets).

I can agree that the language is a little vague. Like at what point does ginger become a spice and not a normal ingredient? Only when it’s dried and powdered?
Ok, with as little intended rudeness as possible: Spicing is a weird word, and usualy for clarity anything to do with heat would be “spicing” or “making spicy”.
And yea those are definitely not too expensive at all. I really enjoy using spiciness as a way to add a a lot of depth basically for free. Everything is better with some red pepper flakes.
I can’t imagine spices were exactly cheap. When you’re at the point of making water pie I’m gunna guess that spices are an easy enough thing to let go of.

So many people just immediately gave into ChatGPT, I doubt Microsoft’s actions will do that much damage. Besides, for anyone not using it it’s pretty easy to ignore. I don’t do a single thing on my PC that requires much beyond opening a game or Firefox so I don’t feel the pressure to leave at the moment.

Future of democracy in the US relies on the people being vaguely intelligent as a group. Right now tens of millions of people there are straight-up worshipping an obvious fascist as god-king and a sizeable portion of the other chunk is still desperately clinging to the idea of being “moderate”.

Capitalism creates an environment of fear and danger and promotes of level of individual responsibility that alienates people from everyone else. Even people who are well off today are afraid of losing advantages and being hung out to dry by the very same uncaring system they keep supporting.

An “convenience” is such a lie. I own a car and have a metro system and I almost never use the car. If I didn’t have parking in the back where I could just keave it it’d be even worse.
