    Tuvox wasn’t able to be killed as he was not a real being. He was a glitch. He was an error. Janeway did nothing wrong and I would have Ctrl-Z’d him too.

    Honestly, I know that you’re point, but I just wanted to point this out. Let’s say somebody got brain damage They become a completely different person. after a couple of months a treatment is devised to fix this brain damage. However, the person with brain damage no longer wants this. Is it ethical to listen to them? They are not thinking correctly and cannot make the best decisions for themselves. Do you fix the brain damage or do you let them live with this brain damage? Honestly, the argument is not too dissimilar.

    Fun Fact: A Lemmy.ml admin actually banned me a long ass time ago when I was on startrek.website. Why?

    I made a post criticizing China treatment of LGBTQ+ characters in film on the lemmy.ml memes community.

    The ban didn’t last long, probably because the admin had messaged me several times prior saying how much they liked my memes and my contributions to lemmy, but I have only made one post to a lemmy.ml community since. And that one was a mistake…

    I 100% believe that we live in a simulation. I also 100% do not fucking care. Literally nothing I can do to change that. If there is a simulation capable of rendering the entirety of existence in the way that it does, then my gay ass isn’t going to change anything Besides, food still tastes good and dick still feels nice. Don’t care if it is simulated or not. Although I do believe that it is.

    That video is just nonsensical horseshit. I am so tired of people taking shrooms and thinking that that somehow turns them into a genius. You, Joe Rogan, who the fuck else? Stop it, just because you had a realization about a couple of things. Doesn’t mean that you were somehow the one human being on earth who will pierce the veil.

    Unfortunately, that community is also moderated by an American (JordanLund) who has refused to acknowledge or accept terms from other countries outside of the United states, has banned Canadians for ‘misinformation’ when they were merely using Canadian political terms he didn’t understand, and has argued with the admins of lemmy.world that he did nothing wrong. The admins warned him about the situation and publicly he refuses to back down.

    That community can’t be trusted. It’s not impartial and not remotely trustworthy. It is seen through an aggressively American lens.

    This is a breakdown of some of the shit that he’s done. It’s a repost of something I made that got deleted when I left LW. This is that original post if you want to see the comments of him “defending” himself by making it a thousand times worse. This was the last straw for me and why I left Lemmy.world, deleting all my content and setting up on dbzer0 instead with new communities to boot.

    I am fucking done accepting an American being the be-all and end-all of reality when they’re not even plugged into it themselves.
