I still think it’s better than discord. And alliance auth tied in super easy.
Besides, I think it’s better that it’s usually hosted on an individual corp/alliance level.
Shut should do one thing. And do it well.

Unraid has a table of the docker containers.
I don’t need metrics or stats. I wouldn’t look at, or care about them anyway. Dashboards feel like tech enthusiast crap. Tech and resources for the sake of having tech. My services are to solve a problem, not look at metrics of.

This already looks like the fake gold million dollar bill and Elvis drivers licenses sold at gas stations.

Yep. It’s a 4u super micro chassis with the associated backplanes.
I had some servers left over from work. It’s set up to also take jbod cards with mini-sas to expand into additional shelf’s if I need that.
My setup really isn’t much of an entry setup. It’s similar to this: https://store.supermicro.com/us_en/4u-superstorage-ssg-641e-e1cr36h.html

I used to really like esxi, but broadcom screwed us on that.
Hyper-v sucks to run and manage. It’s also pretty bloated.
Proxmox is pretty awesome if you want full VMs. I’m gonna move everything I have onto it eventually.
For ease of use, if you have Synology that can run containers, it’s okay.
I also like and tend to use unraid at my house, but that’s more because of my insane storage requirements and how I upgrade with dissimilar disks fairly frequently. (I’m just shy of 500tb and my server holds 38 disks.)

Privacy is something that I think needs to be actively encouraged. It is a right, and thinks like location tracking are creeping their way into daily life and eroding that right.
No one should have the ability to violate that. And we shouldn’t be making it easier to.

I really don’t know how to convince people they should care about others.
I don’t know how to teach empathy.

No, no, no. They painted the targets on themselves.
This app is telling people where to avoid. Not where to go.

The thinly veiled US exceptionalism that America is funding it. And their standard attack against other nations that they are welfare states taking advantage of USA.
Fucking assholes, if people are taking advantage of us. Then be proud we are so strong and rich that they even can.

advanced reasoning
If it’s so advanced, it should be able to reason out that all human knowledge is standing in the shoulders of others and how errors have prompted us to explore other areas and learn things we never would have otherwise.

I’d like to think I’m soft on crime. I believe it’s a good thing. But fewer crimes should result in prison sentences. And the prison sentences that occur should be shorter.

We put cameras in birds nests. Houses don’t make us not wild.

When I got a new phone, immich was weird about the photos that came over when I transferred my phone data. After I confirmed they were all backed up (in like 3 places) I just nuked the copies pictures and videos from my phone.

Some people don’t care about their cars at all. They will damage their own just to spite another driver.
I’ve driven big 30ft box trucks that are governed at 60mph and daily a 2 seater sports car. There is nothing worth fucking up my day just to win an argument on who gets to go first.

Oh yea. I’ll watch the wheels, their head, and if I can see them reposition their hands, I’ll look for that.
I don’t trust anyone when I’m on the road.

Up and down arrows? Up is away from you and down is towards you.

< and > for turns. X for brakes.
Honestly, we should focus on functionality rather than aesthetic.

I cannot stand how in some vehicles if I turn on the signal to indicate I am planning to change lanes, it will beep at me that there is a car there. I’m indicating I plan on it. Not that I’m turning the wheel right this second. I know there is a car to my side, I’m going to change lanes behind it, but am indicating mostly to the car behind them.
It’s why I live so much commercial stuff and things like bacnet.
Everything basically is just basic I/O with either analog or digital signal wires. Well documented. But it typically requires lots of actual wires running back to a controller.
I hate how consumer stuff is all different connections in so many different ways and they don’t care if they deprecate a feature or something. What works today can be fucked up because they have unilateral control to change how their shit works in “updates.”
