I hope that in the end no European countries end up participating.

They’re banking on the US eventually turning back around. The US presence in Germany has been historically very beneficial to them, and kicking them out is the kind of move that’s hard to take back.later.

The point is that even six-figure earners are struggling.
And there’s something to that. People with 6-figure incomes tend to work in more metropolitan areas where housing is very expensive. I make about 80 grand, and the only reason I’m getting by at all is because my drive to work is about 2 hours with traffic. A modest 1br apartment in the city where I work is about $3,000/month.

Yep. And since I carry 3 laptops in my backpack (2 for work and one personal), it’s a problem.
Though I will say the fact that all 3 can be powered by Type-C cables has been since huge life improvement since i don’t need to carry around 3 different charging bricks.

Can they fix the “randomly turn itself back on and drain the battery while in its bag so that it’s always dead when you actually need to use it on the go” problem?
Because that’s been a problem for like 20 years at this point and means I have to treat my laptops as if they don’t actually have batteries because it’s schrodinger’s power any time I pull one out to work.
I was at a conference this week, and half the attendees were huddled in the cafeteria the whole time because there were some tables on one wall with outlets.

My work laptop was upgraded to Windows 11 and performance has severely suffered.
As someone who usually uses 3 monitors (sometimes 4) and does GIS, it’s an issue.

We’re never happy.

Covid convinced me we’re done.
We couldn’t even get people to wear a fucking mask to protect themselves from a disease they saw killing their neighbors. Shit - we can’t get them to allow other people to wear a mask.

My biggest issue with them is their shit streaming quality.

He’s deploying the military against his own people for protesting his crimes against humanity…

Yes, but also make it clear why you are leaving. And as dirty as it feels, don’t tell them their actions are irredeemable and they’ve lost you for life.
If you tell them you’ll never come back no matter what, then they no longer have to care about your opinion. You’re essentially telling them that they should start catering more-heavily to the fascists now that the only potential customers don’t mind them bending the knee.

States and cities try to criminalize recording police all the time.
That’s what I was referring to by hacking stuff together to work.
Customers shouldn’t have to do that.

They even admitted they could’ve interdicted the boat, but chose to kill them instead.
It was 100% absolutely, unquestionably a war crime.
And even if Trump is immune, the rest of those involved are NOT. Some of them are lawyering up, because war crimes can carry a death penalty.

They have other sources for organs.

They’re great when you need one or 2 and they’re used properly.
But if I need 2,000 screws, I’m going to the hardware store instead of spending 82 hours printing screws.

They should actually discriminate against American tech and media companies until the US falls in line. If they suspend all digital copyright for US-based companies so long as this tarrif bullshit is going on, Trump will become powerless in days.

The more impressive thing is that they managed to get the Nvidia upgrade to be backwards compatible with existing Framework 16 models.
That’s the push I need to really, truly believe they’re committed to the goal of upgradablity. Too many “modular” products have come out where the “upgraded” modules were only available if you bought the newest version of the base product.
In the next year or so, I’ll probably be buying a new laptop, and this has convinced me that Framework is probably the way to go.
I stopped ordering tech on Amazon when I got a fraud twice in a month on back-to-back orders a few years back.
First was a laptop that wouldn’t start. I looked at the bottom and the scewes were mostly stripped, and once I got them out most of the components had been removed from the boards.
Second was a Spyder color calibrator. What I got instead was a iPhone 4 screen protector with a sticker slapped on with the UPC for what I’d ordered. When I tried returning it, they gave me flack for slap-tagging a return, but I was able to escalate in that case.
