Regardless of the practicality of enforcing this I think it’s a good idea. Most social media is very predatory and do not contribute in any positive way to a child that’s growing up. I’ve seen what especially TikTok does to a young kids brain, it’s almost like it’s reprogrammed to not have any focus and the addictive part of it makes them always want more TikTok.

As a Dutch person, I’m very glad we’ve made this decision. After reading about Ireland doing the same I didn’t think we would but I’m glad that we did and also that we’ve decided on this somewhat early instead of waiting to see what the “bigger” countries are doing like we usually do with these things.

While I partly agree with you, I wouldn’t thank that idiot for it. There’s a good chance that what he’s doing (even if it doesn’t fully impact Europe) will eventually drag us into it as well. If he keeps going after China he will at some point set Europe an ultimatum too: stay friends with us and stop everything you’re doing with China or be our enemy. If we choose the latter it might eventually even lead to some form of war…

Let’s hope that doesn’t happen (and most of the damage is contained within the US itself, for better or worse).

I fully agree with you but I don’t think the orange wankstain is bluffing. I believe that he legitimately thinks he’s doing God’s work and “making America great again” by completely crashing the entire country.

I think there’s some things in place but there’s still a lot of reliance on American systems which is a bit risky. If Trump decides to start tariffing anything to do with Visa or Mastercard shit would hit the fan real quick.

Well if he does go through with that then I think the Americans will be way more hurt by it then China will be. China can keep trading with the rest of the world and I think their people are more resilient. If Karen from Missouri can’t get her cheap Teemu and Shein shit she’s gonna blow.

I’m very curious to see if the counter tariffs from China will lead to a complete escalation or if the orange clown will cry about it and back off. I hope it’s the second but I fear the worst, I think a total crash out is in the cards.
