Yes, the point is the media aren’t calling it rape. THAT IS THE POINT. Congratulations.

I know right! For f**ks sake.

Yeah but it’s propaganda when other people do it.

How is this clearly defective product still on the market?? If any other car manufacturer had “features” that were so consistently causing this much mayhem they would have recalled all vehicles and been held liable.

SLAMMED!

This. All articles I’ve read that have interviews with the deported people concur that they had work visas or visa waivers. They weren’t in the US illegally because businesses that send employees overseas aren’t that stupid. ICE targeting them is just the dumbest thing they could do, and treating them as ICE did is currently being investigated in South Korea for human rights violations. Seriously you should read their accounts of their captivity, it’s horrific.
I really hope Hyandai and LG tell the US to get stuffed.

I don’t think they hate us, it just that they love money more. They can, and do, inflict untold misery and suffering so long as there is money at the end of it.

And the Australian people, and the British people.

who had hoped anger toward Elon Musk would have faded by now
Even fucking goldfish remember what he’s done. He has irreversibly associated Nazism with Tesla at the same time that cheaper and better electric vehicles are coming out of China. The only way is down and that’s not going to change until he is no longer part of Tesla and a lot of time has passed.

America borrowed a washing machine from America to troll America? I don’t get it.

I was kinda hoping the US would collapse into civil war before they helped start WW3.
Bugger.

But I bet Putin said “thank you” when he received said plans…

And may I ask which oh-so-respectable nation you’re from?

Not sarcastic, but rereading it now I can see why you’d say that. I’m grateful for preferential voting because there were a lot of seats that had Liberal first preference majorities that swung on preference counts. I wasn’t actually aware that preferential voting came along 17 years after federation and that it was the states that gradually brought in compulsory voting… and now in wondering why, and what happened to cause us to shift away from the British model we were no doubt following beforehand. Thanks for the new rabbit hole!

This must what winning looks like.

Significantly partially. In January Dutton started to style himself after Trump, even going so far as getting tips from the GOP, after Trump’s win. However by mid-March Dutton was trying to backpedal rapidly but it was too late. Clearly not all his staff got the memo (esp Jacinta Price… oh dear) and everything he did or said could be met with a variation of “hold on, last week you were saying x”.
Also I’d like to once again say thanks to the founders that gave us compulsory, preferential voting.

I think it’s fair to say most people didn’t know shit about tarrifs until recently, then got told “no, tariffs are paid by the IMPORTER, not the exporting country”. The word “tariff” right now is assumed to mean “import tariff” as that’s how the word is commonly being used, so if you mean “export tariff” it may be a good idea to explicitly say it instead of getting upset when people don’t know what you mean.

Yay! We get to choose how to pay a ridiculous price something that’s free in other countries! Yay, choice!

Trump’s fucking head is uninhabited yet here he is costing us a lot, so I guess that’s the same as Heard Island tarrifs, right?
As horrible as it would be, if Ukraine never backs down and ends up going down in flames it will at least serve as a historical reminder of what happens when you treat the USA as a friend. This is a mark that would not be erased easily; Nazi Germany is still thought of and talked about almost 100 years since it happened, and Backstabbing USA would be no different.
People will remember why Ukraine fell, and they will know who not to trust. The USA has spent a long, long time getting the world hooked on their technology and aid, and in one short year Trump has torn a lot of it down to the point that people globally are actively looking for alternatives.
