The platform must police itself per the rules in the document or face license revocation, and the rules are broad and have the classic ‘contrary to national interest’ out for whatever the government wants. The point of a separate platform is that nobody is going to enforce these rules globally, so it would have to be a Nepal only branch of the site.

Basic safety regulations? I just skimmed the 2023 act and that shit was never gonna fly, and it feels like that was the point. Basically the only way way anyone can comply is to branch off a Nepal version of their site and do whatever they’re told.

I grew up in deep mormon territory in Utah. I don’t disagree with the comments on religious extremism and bad politics, but remember the people this bill will affect are kids. The LDS church is losing youth for a variety of reasons, their policies toward LGBTQ being a big one. The nazi flag is rage bait meant to distract from the real harm of this bill.
