I’ll have to check on this one, never heard of it, and unbound has a tendency to randomly fail on me after a few months.

Huh…first news of this. I’ll have to look into it. I love their non-internet stuff, like their power banks, air pump, screwdrivers and other small gadgets, but usually steer clear of their IoT things unless I know for a fact I can block them and use them offline.
EDIT: I’m not sure what other lite devices might not connect online. But the Mi Air Purifier 4 Lite website already shows “works with Amazon Alexa and OK Google”. So I guess this one is definitely online…

Because it’s Xiaomi. Everything Xiaomi NEEDS an app and cloud connection to share as much of your stuff as possible. It’s how they get cheaper selling prices to begin with.
Have you had a chance to try it outside of Europe, perhaps while traveling? I just saw someone mentioning they might be region locked.
Thanks a lot. I’m not really sure what are the shipping times. I’m briefly in Europe, so this might be an option…if they’re quick to ship.
EDIT: After some checking in XDA, I think this model might not be supported for installing LOS. But I might be able to use it without root perhaps…I only need to change the launcher (and remap the home button to the new launcher maybe), disable updates and install f-droid. And the just install jellyfin.

Anyone has a list of the Dell laptops? I have a Latitude 7350 Detachable with an intel core ultra 164U. I think I might be affected…but then again, I have it running KDE neon, so not sure if this is disabled at hardware level or if it will work on a different OS.

Is it called ONN in the UK too? Thanks!
Thanks…yeah that’s the one. I’m not sure where to source it from, either in Europe or in Asia.

… Check duckdns constant resolution issues. There’s lots of threads about their inconsistency and unreliability. Can’t really complain, because it’s truly free, but there’s no full week that goes without issue.

They’ll make it requiring registration to enter a developer program or something to let you install crap.

Any ideas on Linux support?

Resigns… While keeping the seat. And without starting the election procedure. Not sure this counts as “resigning”.

Thank you. I think this wasn’t there yesterday when i was intensively checking, or i must have missed it. This is the correct answer. Thanks!

Yes. It’s a permanent HWID license, associated to the hardware. No renewal needed, and it’s permanently associated to the hardware ID. If I reinstall the OS on the VM, it will reactivate without asking. And yet.

Yup. This is Win 10 IoT LTSC 21H2. Which should have updates all the way to January 13, 2032, if I’m not wrong. The HWID license is activated and attached to the VM. But…I’m getting a warning in Windows Update today.

She wasn’t very much loved in the south of Europe to begin with, after she crushed Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal with her austerity crackdown back in the day.
The names of the people pushing for these initiatives need to be revealed. They keep doing it with impunity, and in the shadows. We need to know the politicians, and the lobby.
