I’m with you that the economic system is the root cause of the problem and I’m fighting that battle too in my own way. I have too much to lose to really fight it, but there’s a lot more direct action and community involvement I could be doing. Ideologically, though, I’m anti-capitalist and believe that the way forward is collectivism in the form of anarcho-communism.
That’s a lot harder to achieve than going vegan, though.

I am not the one making excuses about individual climate action. I take individual climate action. I’m vegan, I am electrifying my house, I have consistently reduced my consumption. I aim for a lifestyle that would scale up to the whole world.
If you think we need to eliminate the wealthy or nothing is worth doing, then do the thing you think is worth doing. I’m doing plenty, I’m not the one making excuses.

Some people when faced with an overly simple explanation doubt their own understanding and try to see why experts and academics say otherwise.
Others assume they know better than the experts and everyone is an idiot but them.

To be fair to the executive order (ugh) many of the examples cited are due to well intentioned system prompts that encourage the LLM to actively be diverse.
The example of a female pope or whatever (read this earlier) is an example of that.
Generally speaking the LLMs have left-bias because they’re trained on information unlike conservatives, but they aren’t necessarily asking the models to be censored
