Supply and demand. As long as there is demand for Russian rubles, and there are as long as Asia trades with them, then inflation will be kept in check. Inflation is caused when supply outpaces demand.
/u/outwrangle before everything went to shit in 2020, /u/emma_lazarus for a while after that, now I’m all queermunist!

Russia prints its own money. It’s not like there’s a savings account that they’re running dry, they can just print more whenever they want.
This article is cope.

It’s in the US too, they just aren’t testing because of the shutdown and deregulation.

“They cease, we fire.”

I think China will continue to increase trade with the third world and leave Europe behind if doing business becomes unprofitable. Why would they bother investing if it’ll just get stolen? If you want to talk about realpolitik, the US wants its vassals in a state of dependency and doesn’t want them having a relationship with its rival. More realpolitik:
cyberattacks, IP theft, currency manipulation, and also this kind of attempt at industrial subordination.
The US literally does all of this, in addition to election manipulation and propaganda peddling, and (in addition to the new trade war angle) that’s how it pressures allies into dumping China. This all fits into the new Cold War, how do you not see it?

It’s a good move and I wholey support digital sovereignity, but it’s not enough to convince me that they’re actually breaking free. Wake me up when they actually start seizing facilities.

Have the Dutch seized any US facilities?
Seems to me that Europe is picking its side.

Do you think China will want to keep doing business with someone that steals their shit?

It’s very obvious that dependency on the US is bad, though. Why not avoid complete dependence on one or the other?

Dependency on financing trade in USD, dependency on US fossil fuels, dependecy on proprietary US technology, dependency on the US military-industrial complex, dependecy on US border and surveillance technologies, etc etc.
The US fosters dependency in all its allies to maintain the empire. China, and the BRICS bloc in general, offers an alternative. That’s why the US is forcing all its vassals to turn on China.

All this does is make them more dependent on the US; this will only hurt them in the long run.

She has always supported US intervention in Venezuela and supports Trump bombing boats. That’s it.

She dedicated her prize to Trump.

The hardware is specialized for chatbots, it’s not just something they can plug-and-play for other use cases. That means using it for other computing tasks is even less efficient per kWh and per litre of water, which will make it hard to justify the resource requirements.
Surely some of this hardware can find new life, but assets will be stranded.

The most optimistic take I’ve seen: AI is a drain on the entire economy that sucks up all investment and this is why the rest of the economy is basically in a recession. Once the bubble pops, investors will flood back into the real economy and correct the problem.
I’m not optimistic.

Israel does not have a right to exist.

I was too dysphoric as a teenager to even think about being naked around another person.

The US has a long and rich history of supporting Latin American dictators, same as it ever was.

Can’t wait for US Catholics to make an AI pope and split the church.
Your employer already governs your livelihood through your paycheck.
That’s why employers should be elected, not just be rich people that can afford to hire workers.
