Certainly not in any big budget mainstream movie there won’t be, because the LLMs used to generate script prompts for the LLMs used to generate visuals and audio clips wouldn’t understand why a human using an AI to fake a human interaction because they’re soul-crushingly lonely would be sad.
Honestly, it might even be generated as a “happy” scene, to show a “normal” life in the future as product placement for the AI companies as they try to exploit fomo to dig their way out of their inevitable fifty trillion dollar income deficits

I honestly still just feel like we’re agreeing on the order of things here though. Premoral behaviours develop naturally, become ingrained, and then get written into religions or spirituality to give them even more weight – sort of like how a lot of myths about evil water spirits supposedly being warnings to children to not play near water cos they’ll drown.
Just to clarify, when I say “written into” I’m not necessarily meaning physically written down. I mean more like “built into”.

I think I’ve keyed into your phrasing, particularly “precursor”, in my answer. If “premoral behaviour” is a step in developing morality, does that make it a precursor?
What happens between premoral behaviour and morality that develops it? I would have assumed that reward/punishment behaviours between humans socially based on those “premoral” behaviours I described would have led to more nuanced moral systems that would have then been written into religious and spiritual practices.
What do you think happens between premorality and morality? What role does spirituality or religion play – does a higher power give us our morals?
It doesn’t serve us well to murder our own communities. It doesn’t serve us well to cause conflict and strife among ourselves when external circumstances are tough enough.
Living on the steppe or on the savannah would have been extremely tough, and I believe that pragmatism would have naturally lead to a sort of morality – don’t steal from, harm, kill, antagonise other people in your group or you’re putting the entire group at risk.
It doesn’t have to be spiritual or religious!

Personally, I think restricting under-18s from buying knives isn’t a huge deal. I’m surprised they were allowed to buy bladed tools in the first place honestly, as that’s been illegal in my country for as long as I’ve known. There is also rising concern about knife crime in France, as per the article, but I agree these things can often be blown out of proportion.
I was commenting on the fact that it’s a shame that people use tools like knives, that have other actual utilities, to hurt each other.
Equally, I agree that it’s a miserable state of affairs that we have to view knives as dangerous weapons rather than tools.
They’re just looking to limit access from that one avenue. That’s all. It’s the same as booze; we don’t sell booze to kids, even if it’s fun to drink, and even tho they can get it plenty of other ways. It’s just about limiting access.
They’re just looking to stop kids going and buying knives they’re obviously not going to use for cooking. It’s not as ridiculous a statement as you’re making out here, to be fair.
I also moved out at seventeen! And I did live without a kitchen knife for six months or so, too. I guess for me at seventeen it didn’t matter so much.
