well, ultimately too many lawmakers, elected or not are “let them eat cake” people. Living in their own world, uncaring and unknowing about things they rule over. Too many are likely there for their own hubris, thinking how they are so excellent that they must deserve to be there and maybe to line their own pockets. Though obviously there are some that are genuinely competent, otherwise the whole thing would come crashing down too fast, but they are most likely quite suppressed in favor of the pieces of shit that care only about their own interests.

They COULD have consulted people who know about this, considered extensively if its good idea to do this or not and maybe even explain themselves why its necessary without resorting to propaganda and lies, such as how this is to “save the children”. But they do not, because they dont care and they dont have to care.

Lets imagine things go just as he wants and we have army of robots doing all the work and such. Robots who he controls. All over the world, most likely, if they are really useful. People would start to depend on them more and more. Imagine if someone could turn off your every convenicence, or your entire country at a whim?

These people already have all the money in the world, yet they will never be satisfied. What is even left for them except complete domination of all of us?

it doesnt have to be just solar power gained from solarcells, there could be all kinds of novel solutions to get more out of what can be harnessed. Things could be combined to get better results or they could be used for unconventional things to get something new.

But such innovation doesnt happen unless there is need for it, and companies dont see renewable energy as big priority as rest of us, otherwise there would be crazy competition for who invents better stuff and still using fossil fuels would get you laughed at. Only way to create such need is to force companies into it by threatening profits more directly, as looming eco collapse doesnt seem to concern them since its oh so many quarters away.

if the component is at its limit, then you can come up with ways to use that component more efficiently. Also reducing the size of the whole thing also increases efficiency singe you can stuff more of them in same area

Its also something that has to be dealt with or it will destroy humanity eventually, or turn it into something so horrible that destruction might be preferred. Any system we come up with will get corrupted by it if its allowed to exist.

Though its so damn annoyingly hard to eradicate since by doing so you kind of become it yourself, at least if you try to do it the easy way. But to get rid of it in better way relies on people being able / wanting to change or at least not opposing the change in such way it causes more problems.

I consider facism to be more like something that corrupts and worms its way into everything. As you said, its older thing than the nazis. Its like somekind of ideological disease.
