I’m not from the US… Not by far. Where I’m from many people abuse the system by having an exorbitant amount of children (10+), get free kindergarten care, extra money, don’t work, don’t contribute to society, steal, cause issues, etc.

I agree with this in the basis of the thought. But depending on the social security in various countries there are groups that abuse this help. So I’m hoping that loopholes are plugged at the same time.

Without the spin? Now they’ve lost me.

I don’t know, sometimes there’s a flash of bright light at the end of the tunnel

I may simply have had a good run. But I do recall negative experience from the last, when I’ve used local SIMs. Ive been constantly harassed in some countries by their operators sending me ads all the time. Couldn’t be stopped.
No such issues currently with 2 eSIM providers that I use regularly.

I never claimed it worked better or worse. I’m saying my experience is good though. And the hassle is much less.
Can also come to another country prepared. I don’t have to be looking, swapping. It just works.

I never said it’s hard. It’s much more convenient. Can also come to another country prepared. I don’t have to be looking, swapping. It just works.

Very convenient for travel.

For me it is yeah. It’s really convenient when traveling.

I’m still slowly moving towards a Linux phone. That I can install whatever on, of course.
Maybe even eInk screen. Just that currently there’s nothing with eSIM as well.

Not sure he’d have a good time over there…

For CCs 3DS does exactly this, though not implemented everywhere.

Oh man, I thought it was “just” me 🤣 To be fair, the light counts as well (Qnap).

I wouldn’t call that reasonable pricing, for what I can get it in my country. €28k - some subsidies is double what I’ve paid for a substantially bigger car 8 years ago. Not to mention that pretty low range that resets to garbage in winter months.

I mean… Yeah, but the same can be said for VB?

Sounds like a good idea to have them fail when you really need them. Most people won’t use them occasionally in order to “clean them up” from rust etc.

Still a lot. I have to say my cost was before the “recent” hikes. Though my house doesn’t share walls either.

I’ve got solar with net metering. But apparently I leave in a much gentler environment still, compared to you. Got a small house (<150sqm), winters reach -20°C and have sustained -10°C for multiple weeks and yet the bill hasn’t reached past 1400€/mo before solar panels. Everything in the house is runs on electricity.
I’ve got to research how can I do individual sandbox/jail for projects that are opened using VSC. Maybe dockerize everything 🤷♂️
