I think you misunderstood me. I do in fact consider it a very serious threat. In fact basically everything trump does is a very serious threat. That’s just reality and I think you and I would both agree on that.

I want to make one thing clear, I see absolutely no reason to listen to trump, he is at best a liar, a criminal, and a traitor.

That being said a threat for the sake of distraction, whether empty or not, perfectly fits one of his common propaganda techniques. It would make perfect sense that he is deflecting from something he doesn’t want the public to pay attention to, and in my opinion that means the correct course of action(at least for a powerless shmuck like me) is to pay the fuck attention to that thing and to get other people to pay attention to that too. It makes sense that the Epstein files are that thing, since it seems to be one of the only things his base sees as controversial, hence my original comment.

If he was gonna do it he would have already. This is BS drama trump is stirring up on an international scale to try and get us to stop talking about the Epstein files. RELEASE THE DAMN FILES.

Career Audio engineer chiming in here. I would say it’s a combination of the lack of LUFS regulation and improper mixes. IMHO dialogue clarity should be prioritized more than it currently is, or at the very least we should use the center channel in surround sound formats exclusively for dialog to make it easier to adjust(via software and/or or av receivers), at least more than we currently do. Also modern TV shows are often mixed with a high dynamic range like a movie would be(which relates to LUFS levels), kind of silly and also IMHO bad mixing practice as most of your viewers don’t have high end home theatres.

Your point is so important that I don’t think it can be stressed enough.

Nonviolent protests are more popular in public opinion. Public opinion gets you more people on your side. More people on your side is more power, and when the regime starts cracking down on peaceful protests, it will be easier to get more people to fight than it would be of we advocate for violence from the start.
