There’s no such thing.
Confirming an email address is how sites protect themselves. They need to be able to track you down if you post something illegal, to cover their own ass.
(Maybe someone will answer to prove me wrong, Cunningham’s Law.)
Lemmy allows instance administrators to choose whether or not email is is required for registration. All the Lemmy accounts I have used have been without an email address. I am not sure if PieFed does not offer that option, or if there are simply no anonymous PieFed instances at the moment. Which is totally understandable.
Or another way to look at it is that the users with no email are typically the most disruptive since they can hide behind anonymity. No-email signups are a good way to get stuck in moderation hell.
Getting a new email takes like a whole minute.
Requiring an email does make it harder for spammers though.
Every extra step bad actors have to go through is an incentive to troll somewhere else.
Probably have to host their own instance
Is there a reason why simplelogin.io wouldn’t suffice?
