Lemmy allows instance administrators to choose whether or not email is is required for registration. All the Lemmy accounts I have used have been without an email address. I am not sure if PieFed does not offer that option, or if there are simply no anonymous PieFed instances at the moment. Which is totally understandable.

In my limited testing, exporting as a JPG can sometimes lead to a smaller file size than exporting to WEBP. Not always. I’m not sure if there is just some “point of diminishing returns” or whatever where JPG actually becomes more efficient or what.
