I have a feeling like you could do a completely mechanical one. Like a way to push it open and a part gets pushed out to stay put so when you open the faucet back up it bumps it and has a little resistance when it first turns so you don’t accidentally move it. Rotate the full way around to reset.

Tomorrow’s soup is an ancient cloud of ambient consternation with a hint of mint

Sandboxing by default and preventing Google and others from spying in and manipulating apps are good steps phone OS developers should use, but I don’t think those kind of things would help for this particular case.

Tuberville is one of the most vile, despicable, turds to ever walk the face of this planet. He along with McConnell are the face of government corruption and obstruction that directly led to Trump taking power.

Biometrics aren’t passwords they are usernames, passwords necessarily change I’m not changing my fingerprints or iris or bhole or whatever they want to scan. With how easy it is to copy someone’s bio markers vs stealing their password this would be a huge security risk if they want to use it for entry to secured facilities.

The title quote is from Tim Dillon, article has a similar quote from Pete Davidson

Exported and cut out the local stuff, not sure on the etiquette so just posted under a spoiler. A couple like AP and Reuters are re-streams from a third party.

I tend to go for the fire hose approach with news agencies AP, democracy now, CCN, RT Al Jazeera, BBC, France 24, Fox, common dreams, NPR, pew research, open source post, and a few geographically local sources. Entertainment pbs has a few, tvline, xkcd. Using capy reader.

If women, LGBTQ, or minorities are not allowed in leadership positions then the equality and acceptance they preach is only placation and not genuine. It’s not surprising it took this long and there is still push back coming from religions founded on an iron age anthology that treats women as property.

Fox’s response to this blundering grandpa’s naked aggression was of course to discuss the merits of bombing vs gassing a major metropolitan area within the US.

Calling smugglers and fishermen violent terrorists and executing them without a trial is evil drug war era shit, 100% the white supremacists like Trump and Steven Miller in the white house would change their tactics and story if the victims were white.

Darth Vader sucks egg salad through a hose to eat
Sounds like they represent real people is the reason

I’ve been partial to calling it lying or deceptively engaging in bad faith to prevent people from being able to make well informed choices taking away their agency and ability to accomplish personal and community goals unimpeded.

We need to pay scientists to do peer review and reproduction studies, it’s negligent for any organization to fund novel research only and not also contribute to error correction and resilience when LLMs are now available. If you can’t pay for it at least release the data for reproducing the analysis. To do neither should be seen as incomplete and suspicious.
This is coming from someone who is pretending to think Microsoft is currently doing well and could lose some quality at the expense to introduce new features users want faster to sell an image of technology innovators or at a baseline a user friendly experience
What is actually happening is they are trying really hard to sell Microsoft after windows 11 launch pushed a lot of users away or at least gave them an accurate impression of how MS caters to corporations and advertisers and they don’t give a shit about users as long as they keep buying computers with windows monopoly pre installed. The ‘ai is going to be good enough to replace developers’ longshot could come in 10 years or 10,000 years and is a hand wave to not understand the problem or currently available possible solutions.
Also the interview only covers corpo interests and doesn’t include any labor or software union leaders.
