US President Donald Trump on Friday announced that he had ordered two nuclear submarines to deploy near Russia, responding to what he called “foolish and inflammatory” threats from former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev.
He is deploying the USS Jeffrey Epstein and the USS Distraction.

need more context for what appears to be a pretty clever comment
Just from reading the comment I guess there have been wakes spotted in fields of algae (which can be quite extensive during a bloom) via images from space and no ship movement could be attributed to them.
Apparently in algae bloom regions ships leave wakes that “can be seen in satellite radar images as long bright strips of enhanced backscatter with characteristic length of up to several hundred kilometres lasting more than 5 hours” according to this Russian Space Research Institute article.
