At some point every person in the US is gonna have to decide between flight or fight. The third option is to give up all morals and become a monster until they come for you.

I moved from the US to Canada. One of the biggest differences between the two I’ve noticed is the food. Not only is Canadian food fantastic, American food is straight up poison.

To give two examples, compare US and Canadian Heinz ketchup and froot loops. Canadian Heinz tastes sooooo much better, it doesn’t have a weird aftertaste from the corn syrup. Canadian froot loops are paler in color since they use natural colors, and they also taste way better as a result. Fresh products like produce and meat are also superior up here

Edit: also, traditional Canadian treats are delicious

Parisians will never stop complaining about québécois. They even show subtitles in France when they speak québécois on TV. None of the French Canadians I know seem to have any issue understanding traditional French though.

Edit: Spanish is another language where we can mostly understand each other despite very varied dialects
